The Auxiliary to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington is a non-profit group with a mission to help foster a safe and positive environment for the local youth. About
Volunteering their time and resources, members of the Auxiliary host special programs for club members, provide weekly meals at the Steve and Connie Ferguson Crestmont Club, and coordinate various other events and activities for the children.The Auxiliary is the largest unrestricted donor to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington. Each year, we host the Strawberry Spectacular, which consists of the Strawberry Shortcake Festival and 5K. Generally these events take place the 2nd Thursday of June (festival) and the Sunday prior (5K).

A family-friendly fun run to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington! Lace up your shoes, grab your costume, and bring your friends for a morning of fun and a great way to support the work of the Auxiliary!
This year - all registrants will get a free scoop of Bruster's Halloween-themed ice cream!A few race highlights:
Run/walk a 1-mile or 5K route
Costumes encouraged. Fun required!
All registrants will receive a FREE scoop of either Hallowscream or Monster Mash ice cream!
Well-behaved dogs and strollers welcome. (Costumes are especially encouraged for those pups!)
Free professional photos available for download after the event.
No official timing. No official prizes. Just fun for all!The race will start at Grandview Elementary School and continue on the Karst Greenway Trail. Parking available at Grandview Elementary.

The Third Annual Strawberry Shortcake 5K will be a sweet closing to the Strawberry Shortcake Festival. Our race participants asked for it, and we listened! After the race, treat yourself to a serving of our delicious Strawberry Shortcake. We will have limited quantities so you must pre-order at registration.We are so proud to be part The Magnificent 7 Race Series for the second year in a row! By supporting the Auxiliary to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington, you ensure a hot meal at the Cresmont Club on Fridays, Club kids can buy their families gifts for the holidays, and that the Clubs receive unrestricted dollars to use for whatever unmet need they may have.
